Dear Sir/Madam

PROPOSAL FOR ASSISTANCE ON THE FREE MEDICAL TREATMENT FOR
WOMEN,CHILDREN AND ELDERLY BY ISIMA MAXWELL FOUNDATION TO FIFTY
(50)RURAL COMMUNITIES IN DELTA STATE OF NIGERIA AND ENVIRONS.

Isima Maxwell Foundation is a non governmental organization (NGO)that
assists the less privileged on medical, educational and materially in
our society.We extend our

assistance through hospitals, schools and communities respectively.

Isima Maxwell Foundation is poised to embark on a free community
health care project for Women,Children and Elderly which will enable
our medical team treat people

living in our local communities and in all local government areas in
Delta state and environs. This free health care project will cover
ailments like;(i)Malaria (ii)

hypertension (iii) typhoid fever (iv) Diabetes and all water-borne
diseases. In this regard,we intend also to embark simultaneously on
sinking bore-holes in these local

communities where necessary.

SUBJECT

The Government in Nigeria in collaboration with the United Nation
seeks to achieve the millennium development goals (MDGs) in 2015 with
particular reference making

health care delivery available to the rural poor, reducing child or
infant mortality, improving maternal health and combating malaria and
other related diseases.

However,it is clear that improvement in the lives of the rural
poor, have been unacceptably slow, although the government grant strides
towards making health care

delivery to the rural poor communities through its rural health
centers is appreciable yet the enormous task of providing health care
services to the populace demands

intervention of humanitarian, grant donor and non governmental
organizations to make it qualitative, effective and efficient.

Moreover, the rural poor is not captured by the National Health
Insurance Scheme (NHIS).It is therefore, necessary to find an
alternative way of making health care

delivery available to the rural poor, hence the need for
non-govermental agencies (NGO)in achieving the valuable focus of the
millennium development goals as well as

auging the global/government roll back on malaria project.

METHOD

However,fifty (50)communities have been mapped out.Two communities
each from the Local Government Area for the exercise. Two Hundred
(200)persons from each community

including children,Women and the Elderly will be screened for the
rapid malaria test, diabetes, typhoid fever and hypertension and be
treated for these ailments.

Laboratory investigation will be carried on the field to all selected
Two Hundred (200) persons in each community.

TREATMENT

Treatment will be initiated immediately while the concerned persons
will be followed at their respective health centers with team of our
staff ready to attend to them.

COST IMPLICATION

The laboratory test (diagnosis) will cost Eight Hundred Naira (800.00)
per person while the treatment with drugs cost N1,500.00 ($10) per
person (N1,500 +N800=

($5.3cents)N2,300 i.e =$15.3cents.

Therefore 200 persons per community will be (N2,300.00),i.e $10,Two
thousand,Three Hundred Naira multiplied by 200 persons = N460,000.00
i.e 3066.6cent per

community.Fifty communities will require the total number of the
communities,which is fifty (50) multiply by N460,000.00 ($3,006.6cent)

Sum Total =N23,000.00.i.e $153,333.3cent.

CONCLUSION

Provision of the free medical treatment for women, children and elderly
will improve access of rural communities to the care delivery in the
developing countries;in

essence improve the quality of life of the poor in the state. It will
also compliment government and United Nations efforts in achieving the
Millennium Development Goal

with particular reference health care service to children, women and Elderly.

For the success of this program,Isima Maxwell Foundation will
appreciate donations of drugs by pharmaceutical companies and
financial donation will be appreciated.

Yours Faithfully,
Maxwell
