"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Hi

I am Aleksandr Korsunov formerly a top Government Official here in Russia. I have a very sensitive and private brief to ask for your partnership to re-profile funds over $19,000,000.00 USD. I will give the details, but in summary, the fund are coming via a Bank in Western Europe. This is a legitimate transaction. You will be paid 35% of these funds as your proposed "Management Fees" just to assist in re-profiling these funds appropriately to a new investment location if I am able to reach terms with you. If you are interested, please write back immediately and I will provide further details. Please keep this communication close to your chest as much as possible because I cannot afford any more political problems with Moscow and it's Allies!

Write me back immediately as I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours truly,
Aleksandr Korsunov
