"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am pleased to write you in regards to the outstanding contract/Inheritance Sum, Owned you by African Countries. After a meeting held with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), African Union (AU) and International Monetary Fund (IMF), it was revolved that every contractors who in the time past or presently has been contacted from any region in Africa concerning contract payment and have not yet receive his/her contract sum, should please bear with them as all those lapses that coursed the delay has been rectified.

Due to the inability, incompetency and irregularities observed, a proactive measure has been taking by ECOWAS, AU and International monetary Fund (IMF) in agreement with the government of affected countreis by stoping those payment centres both home and abroad, who were in charge of contract payment before now.

Base on this development, STANDARD CHARTERED BANK of Australia has been accreditted to carry out the payment of all contract executed in Africa in the past and at present. This decision was taking after much delebration, and it has been concluded that we (STANDARD CHARTERED BANK AUSTRALIA) should handle all payments of foriegn contractors. We are here to serve you, and urge you to provide the followings so thatw e can exipedite action.
