"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Still in Afghanistan, please reply me now

Hello,

Please can you do me a favor? helping me to search around your town for a single residential family home or piece of land on sale for me to buy before my redeployment back home.Just needed someone I can trust because of the previous negative experience I had with my only brother, who has frustrated all my effort to buy a home right from here for the past six months and this has caused me lots of pains but I will not give up my dream of becoming a home owner before my redeployment.

I've tried couple of times to reach out from here via the internet to different Realtor out there at home but came up unsuccessful because of so many scams going over the internet the realtor really don't take it seriously and always making me understands I needed to get someone on ground to help handle the task of buying a home or a piece of land for the purpose of inspections with my power of attorney at hand. Please I need you to help make my dream of becoming a home owner a reality before my redeployment out of Afghanistan and if you're ready to assist me, do let me know in your next e-mail,so I can provide you with all the detail information.

Please note,I will take care of all your expenses and compensate you reasonably for your help and support.
