"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Offering Financial Help

Hello,
I am TAMELA BROWNa 49 years old widow and I live in Merseyside. I am a goods merchant, I have several industrial companies and a good amount of shares in various banks in the world. I spent all my life investments on co-operate businesses. Along the way I lost my wife and two beautiful kids in a fatal accident that occurred on the 5Th of November 2003.

Sometime in the year February 2004 I got a letter which contained the result of my previous medical check-up, and my personal doctor testified that I have lungs cancer, which can easily take my life. I found it uneasy to survive myself, because a lot of investment cannot be run and managed by me again.

I have decided to distribute my wealth to the motherless babies or orphanage homes, people that need money to survive both students that need money, business women and men for their investment for future rising.

I would like to offer help since I am in the position to do so. Like you know there are so many people on the Internet who are waiting to rip other people off. I have helped some people recently and they ended up being liars. I would put you to test and see how sincere you are.. I would instruct my financier to issue a check payment of $2,000 in your name and I would like you to have $150 for yourself from the amount, then you would have to send the balance of $1600 to an orphanage of my choice and the money would be sent via WESTERN UNION. .

As soon as you can follow my directives, i could support you between the range of $5,000 to $50,000

First I need to build trust in you, and I see this as the only way I can do that. If you think you still need my help, then send the following details as follows:

FULL NAME:
CONTACT ADDRESS(NO P.O.BOX PLEASE)
PHONE NUMBER:
AGE:

NOTE: THE CHECK WOULD BE SENT OUT TO YOU NEXT WEEK

Thanks for your understanding.
God bless You.
TAMELA BROWN
