"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Thanks for your respond to my letter, I am a young guy of 28 yrs old I just finished my study in the university where I read Marine Engineering, I am son of late General Mohammed Lawal Muhammed who died after a brief illness at hospital in abroad. Before my late father died he kept the said fund for safe keeping but as we progress on this transaction it shall be known to you and all document related to the lodgment of the fund are all with me.

Immediately my late father died his families took over all his properties and his bank account while I was left with only said fund which I only know about, it's because of this l like to invest this money with you in a profitable business, which you have knowledge of or technical know how with your wealth knowledge of experience. Please provide me with your details of investment that the fund can be invested into in your country.

You should also provide me with your information as stated below:

1) Your full name and address
2) Telephone and fax number, if possible include your mobile telephone numbers.
3) Company name, position and address.
4) Profession, age and marital status.

Upon the received above information, I shall give you more details and we progress on this transaction.
