"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Your Attention Please

Hello,

I am looking for your cooperation in investing in the development of a Tourism facility and Real Estate in your country. I am Olive Haroun, wife of former director of the Liberian Gold and Diamond Mining Company who is now late.

I and my only son, Richard live here in Accra Ghana because of a substantial amount of money my late husband deposited in the finance house which we want to invest in a tourism facility and real estate. We cannot do so directly because of attempts being made by some associates of my late husband to confiscate it and dis-inherit I and Richard.

Your role is to assist us negotiate and transfer this money, and to receive it in your country and assist in the investment. I need an honest and trustworthy person to assist me to set up and develop the project.

I am proposing a compensation of 35% of the total sum on conclusion as well as a role in the projects so you can be in position to advise us.

As soon as we hear from you, I will give you more details of the issue and how to proceed

Sincerely,

Olive Haroun
