"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

This fund was given to you by the AU (African Union) and the government of the west african sub-region countries. We have being looking forward to you for some time now in other to inform you on how you can receive your fund. On my assumption to office I am keen on making immediate transfer to all outstanding foreign beneficiaries that are yet to receive their compensations. The total fund that you are going to receive from western union is SIXMILLION U.S DOLLAR this amount can not be transfer to you at once that is why you will have to send to us the two to four receivers name's in which we are to make bit by bit transfer of ONE MILLION DOLLAR. To you without any form of delay.

I want you to know that I was sent from South Africa because of this transaction. South Africa is our head office and now I am in charge of Ghana, Togo, Benin and Nigeria, I have been able to make transfer of fund to the names that are in the western union system.
