"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

With profound interest and confidence, I am soliciting your immediate assistance and co-operation as to enable us round up a business opportunity within our capacity as a result of the death of one of our contractors (Beneficiary). You should not be surprised as to how I got your contact. You were highly recommended to me with the believe that you are competent, reliable, trust worthy and honest.

I am Dr John Ude, the Chairman Presidential Review Panel on Foreign contract payment and regularization, Federal Government of Nigeria. We work hand in hand with the Senate Committee on foreign contract payment. Our duty is to ensure that all foreign contractors are paid their contract sums in due time.

This last Fiscal payment quarter, a total of 120 contractors have been short listed for payment this (2010). But information reaching this office indicates that one among the remaining contractors has been reported dead. His name is Mr Khalif Hamzat from Pakistan. He was among the 123 people that died in the last Gulf air flight 072 plane crash on the 26th of August 2007.

Meanwhile, he finished the execution of his contract with the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation in December 2006. But since his death, nobody has come forward to put a claim to his contract fund Valued at US$38,750,000.00(Thirty Eight Million Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand United States Dollars). He did not disclose any next of kin as was required.Moreso, the Senate Committee that investigated this contract payment has been dissolved hence my colleaques mandated me to look for a foreign partner who will assume ownership of this contract payment.
That is why I need immediate assistance from you to expedite the transfer of the contract fund. With my position and the assistance of my colleagues involved all machinery will be put in place to regularize all the necessary documents and present your company as the bon-fide beneficiary of this fund in as much as you will accept to partner with us to Execute this Transaction when you receive this Letter.
