"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dearest Sir,

RE: APOLOGIES FOR INTRUDING INTO YOUR PRIVACY

RE: TIMELY FUNDS REMITTANCE OF 10,000,000.00GBP

My name is Mr.Charles Haid. I am the personal assistant to Late Col. White Hunter. Late Col. Hunter was a contractor and also a soldier of Great Britain.

In 2006, Late Col. Hunter won a road construction contract with the State of New Castle. After the completion of the contract, he was paid 10 million pounds by the Government of United Kingdom.

Thereafter, Late Mr. Hunter did a fixed deposit for 5 years with Commonwealth Bank of London which would be expiring by December 31st, 2011.

Late Mr. Hunter was sent to as a rescue team to Libya to combat terrorism presently in Libya. Unfortunately, Late Mr. Hunter & the rest of the rescue team were attacked by Rebel group in Libya and they were all killed by bomb blast.

After this sorrowful event that took place couple of weeks ago, Late Col. Hunter was left with no next of kin or relative to claim the 10 million GBP with Commonwealth Bank of London. The Bank has sent several messages and official letter to the home address but unfortunately Late Col. Hunter do not have any next of kin or relative to claim the aforementioned sum.

The UK Financial Law states that any funds left untouched for five years or more would be automatically be transferred to the Debt Management Office under strict supervision by Her Majesty’s Treasury.

Late Col. Hunter has always told me of his dream to setup a foundation to tackle poverty, human trafficking, and the likes in our society today. I do not want this man’s dream to be waved away so therefore the reason to contact you.

I want you to stand as a next of kin to help Late Col. Hunter claim the funds from Commonwealth Bank of London. 60% of the funds would be given to you for your help while 40% would be used to set up WHITE HUNTER FOUNDATION in your country to help the needy and less privileged.

I do not need any money at all. My desire is to supervise and make sure that the foundation would be set up by you.

If you’re interested to leave a legacy on this planet earth, Kindly get back to me with the following information so we could fight a good cause.
