"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Some comments by the Scam-O-Matic about the following email:

This email uses a separate reply address that is different from the sender address. Spammers use this to get replies even when the original spam sending accounts have been shut down. Also, sometimes the sender addresses are legitimate looking but fake and only the reply address is actually an email account controlled by the scammers.

My Name Is Mr. Emmanuel Chibueze, I am a believer in the house of God, I was once a sinner who is not worthy to be call the son of God until I give my life to Christ and forsake all my evil ways, since them I lost all I have and my business partners some of them run away with my money, I am here now suffering I know I have to paid for my sins.

Please I am in need now, my house rent has expired and the owner of my apartment want to throw me and my family out of the house, I need assistance to be able take care of my responsibility as the father of the house or head.

Please Sir, I know you may receive this kind of mail from other people but I am telling you the truth only the truth, the book of Mark 8: 36 says For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? What will I gain by lying to you again? Heb.10 : 27 â€“ 29 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, where with he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?.
