"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Secretary, Debt Management Office
Abuja Nigeria

Dear,

I wrote you last time concerning your payment, that my boss, Dr. Abraham Nwankwo met with bank executives, officials from Central Bank of Nigeria and Ministry of Finance. Some of the bank executives were discussing among them how they trade with contractors’ money in the Forex Market, making so much money, thereby delaying your payment.

In view of that, I wrote you to contact my boss as he has compiled list which he sent to UBS Zurich, Switzerland. The amount approved is $10M to every contractor and balance if necessary will be paid within three months. I don’t know if you have contacted him, his official email is abraham@dmonig.com

>From the telegram I received this morning from UBS which I have passed to my boss, UBS only needs all the payment documents to be endorsed at the Home office here in Abuja and they will release the funds to your account.

I am taking my time to relate this information to you so that you will contact my boss and find out if your name is included, please do not mention my name in this as I don’t want to loose my job.

If you have any other issue, write you confidentially on angeladike46@katamail.com

Regards
Angela Dike
