"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: TRANSACTION!!!

Good day to you and your Family,

Sorry if this may come to you as a surprise, My name is Mr Mou Xinsheng, and this mail might come to you as a shock, but i want you to try and take this seriously and confidential. I got your email in the China directory as i was searching and surfing the internet for a credible, trustworthy and reliable person that can or might help me move some funds from a bank in Europe to your country, and i am guaranteeing you that this is a legal, risk free transactions and posses no risk or treat to you and your Family.

I know this is some kind of surprise and doubt, receiving a mail from the serving minister of the people's republic of China, (MINISTER OF GENERAL ADMINISTRATION OF CUSTOMS OF THE PEOPLE"S REPUBLIC OF CHINA) Don’t be upset or judge me, if you see this email disturbing and kind of shameful with no honors due to my governmental status, but excuse me and put yourself in my positions for once.

I need a credible and trusted partner in the western world because in my years of government services as Narcotics control commission and general administration of customs, I received lots of kick backs from smugglers and business people seeking favors from my office, but as a public officer, my bank accounts and assets is always under surveillance, so i was able to divert the sum of $30 million (Thirty Million USD) to an account for safe keeping.

The favor and proposals i am seeking now is for you to come in and receive this money, which has been kept deposited there since 2004 with a bank in Europe. Please also note that you have to be responsible for the activation of the dormant account which the funds is with the bank there, and you will be required to pay some fees to do this and enable them transfer the $30 million USD into any of your nominated account of yours in your country, which my lawyer will have to fill in your names as the Beneficiary of this funds.

I want this money spent judiciuosly, some 20% will have to go to any orphanage of my choice as a way of giving back to the society, and you will receive 40% as your own commission for the work you are about to do. The other 40% goes to me, which i intend to invest in your country with your advice and assistance after all must have gone well. I have no orphanage or any charity organization in mind as at this moment, but i guess we should be able to figure that out, right? Try and send me your name and contact phone numbers as soon as you get this mail.

Please do reply me immediately you get this mail, so I can send you more details about this life changing proposals. It's very important that you keep this information absolutely confidential please, as you know the Internet is sometimes not a secure place for deals of such. I look forward to your urgent response to these proposals my friend, and do reply me via my private and secured email account,

mouonlinenow@yahoo.com.hk

I await your response,
Best regards,
Mr. Mou Xinsheng.
