"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello

I am Mr. Haruna Traore,I was the Personal Treasurer to General Philippe
Mangou, one of the Army Generals loyal to Cote d’Ivoire's strongman, Laurent
Gbagbo .in fact he lead the Pro-Gbagbo`s forces in the war against the
President-Elect of Cote d Voire;Alassane Ouattara, following the election
result which declared his closest rival, Alassane Ouattara winner.
The Election Result was not in any way satisfactory to Laurent Gbagbo so he
refused to cede power, leading to the Political crisis that ended on Monday,
April 11, 2011 when pro-Ouattara forces captured Gbagbo .during the
Political crisis, General Philippe Mangou my Boss, sent me to Russia with
the amount of USD$250.5Million to purchase ARMS purposedly to fight the
UN,French Soldiers and Ibrahim Coulibaly, head of the "Invisible Commandos"
that were fighting Pro- Gbagbo forces in Abidjan.I was in Russia when the
news was broadcasted on CNN that the Former President, Laurent Gbagbo has
been captured.

Nevertheless, I intended to prevent further killings of innocent citizens of
my Country and having thought about that i decided to divert the said Funds
into a Storage Company where it could be secured and used for a meaningful
venture. Presently this said sum of USD250.5Million is deposited in Storage
Company for onward transfer to a nominated recipient/receiver. In the mean
time the statue-quo of the deposit portrays Non-Resident Depositor, simply
because i thought it`s necessary for me to acquire a Russian Citizenship by
documentation in-order to leverage and facilitate my movement with the Funds
to West-Africa where it is currently deposited with the Storage Company(name
withheld until further familiarity).

Apparently, I am on a hide-out and as such, I can not personally take to any
kind of investments, hence, there’s need for seeking the participation of a
Transparent/Competent businessman who will handle the modalities of the
investment on my behalf.

I am willing to part with 20% of the total Amount (USD$250.5M) as initial
benefits for your Services/Acceptance to receive the aforementioned amount
and more so you will be automatically entitled to 50% shares of the total
Company`s asset as soon as Certificate of Inc. and Certificate of
commencement of Business have been awarded.

I will not hesitate to furnish you with more details as regards the
actualization of the Investment upon the receipt of your reply

Your Faithfully
