"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dearest

My name is Barrister Mike Ojoba, I used to be the personal attorney to Mr. A Pandey i a native of your Country who lived in the city of Minami sanriku in Japan. He is a contractor with PHCN (POWER HOLDING CORPORATION NIGERIA). Mr. A Pandey I died in the city Minami sanriku Japan Tsunami tragedy, May his soul rest in peace. His company completed a contract with PHCN (POWER HOLDING CORPORATION NIGERIA) for the supply of turbine electric turbine generator serving parts, before he Traveled back to his residence in Japan.The PHCN (POWER HOLDING CORPORATION NIGERIA) has paid his company 60% of his contact sum, still has a balance of 40% which is to be Paid to Mr. Manuj A Pandey I on the contract agreement documents which was signed in my presence.

After my late client traveled to Japan, I sent several notices to him, but no response, I personal decided to traveled to his residence in Japan with the address he gave me, on getting there, I find out that Mr. A Pandey i and his family perished in the city of Minamisanriku Tsunami disaster, I arrived from Japan and contacted the PHCN (POWER HOLDING CORPORATION NIGERIA) and told them of the sad news and I Also demanded that the 40% balance of my Late client should be released to me on the grounds that I am his Lawyer and was also present when the contract was signed, The Company responded by saying that, the balance of $2,950,000.00. Can only be paid to his relative your native , that has the same last name with my late client.

I have made efforts to get in touch with any member of his extended family, it was during that effort that I found your information and I also find out that you have the same last name with my late client, I can present you as a relative to my late client, so that the balance will be paid to you. I will procure all the legal document to back your claim, I am contacting you through this mail to know if you will be capable of assisting me in getting this funds from the company, I am ready to give you 40% of the total amount when the funds is paid to you. If you are interested and capable, I will provide you with more information.

The release of the funds to you will not take more than five working days and it's risk free, the PHCN (POWER HOLDING CORPORATION NIGERIA) sent me a notice yesterday to present Mr. A Pandey i 's relative and must be and Indian , so that the funds will be paid and if I don't present anyone in less then ten days, the funds will be transferred to the company treasury account as unclaimed.

Finally, my late client will not be happy to know where ever he may be, that I Barrister Mike Ojoba allowed his money to go in vain, but when we are able to receive this fund from the company, he will be happy and proud of me.
