"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: From: Hon Jon UWONKUNDA (Parliament of Rwanda)

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am Mr Jon UWONKUNDA the personal assistant to the President of
Rwanda H.E.The
President Paul Kagame and a Member of Parliament of Rwanda.I wish to
request for
your assistance in handling some funds for safe keeping in your
country, this is
part of the money I secretly helped President Paul Kagame to transfer
abroad in
Ghana for his personal use, and the funds was part of financial
support from the
UK Government to Rwanda and meant to support existing projects to alleviate
poverty and tackle the most off-track millennium development goals
such as child
and maternal health including funding skilled health personnel to attend over
57,000 births by 2014-15 in Rwanda.

The president didn't want to invest the funds in the project rather decided to
take half of the money for his personal use and on the process I managed to
divert the sum of US$36,000,000.00 to a different bank in Ghana as
meant for my
foreign partner.

Now, I want you to assist me in providing an account to transfer the above
mentioned funds to your country for investment and stand as my foreign partner
to enable us claim the funds. If you will be able to assist me in transferring
the funds to your country, please contact me immediately through my private
email jon@uwonkunda.wpaski.com so we can discuss your percentage.I have left
left my job and presently in Ghana because of this issue.

Regards,
Mr Jon UWONKUNDA
