"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dear Friend,

Dear Friend,

How are you doing? Hope fine.

I am very happy to inform you about my success in getting the funds transferred under the co-operation of a new partner from Austria. Presently, I am in Austria for investment projects with him. Meanwhile, I didn't forget your past efforts and attempts to assist me in transferring the funds despite that it failed us somehow. Now contact my secretary in Cotonou, Benin Republic. His name is mike pete, on his e-mail address:(mike_peter71@yahoo.com) and arrange with him on how you will collect the total sum of US$800,000.00 in a Certified Cheque which I kept with her for your compensation for all your past efforts and attempts to assist me in the transaction.

I appreciated your efforts at that time very much. So feel free and get in touched with my secretary and reconfirm to her below information:

1) Your full name:
2) Your current address:
3) Your phone number:

At the moment, I am very busy here because of the projects I am doing with my new partner. Do let me know once you have collected the Cheque from him so that we can share the joy together.

Best Regards,
Mr. david dom
