"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

SHAM -SUDEEN Finance Minister and Group Managing Director NNPC, who are
members of the Committee, on foreign and local contractors.

Studying contractor?s files yesterday, we discovered that your file was
dumped untreated. So at this juncture, we apologize for the delay of your
contract payment and you should stop every communication with any other
office except the one you will be refer to now.

You are hereby directed to contact the PAYMENT OFFICER, DR Okon Eze, and
Tel: 234-70-522-82493, Email: drokoneze@mail.am, so that he will release
your payment to you immediately. And also you should reconfirm your bank
details, contract amount, contract number and your telephone/fax number to
him. This is to avoid mistake while transferring this overdue contract
payment to you

Having received these vital payment numbers therefore, you are qualified now
to receive and confirm your payment with the Federal Government of Nigeria
immediately within 24 hours.

New Order from the presidency has requested us to deduct all charges from
your payment before effecting your payment; you are required to attach a
copy of your REDUCTION CERTIFICATE which was issued to you by the office of
the presidency free of charge.
