"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I am worried since I have not heard anything from you regarding the collection of the Identification Clearance Invoice (ICI)

Certificate needed to allow me proceed and hand over your consignment BOX to you. Since the Certificate have been issued and

Ms. Joan Lawrence is expected to pick it up for you and send across, if you are unable to afford for the air fare of $375.00

for Ms. Joan Lawrence to go to Porto Novo and pick up the Certificate; You can at least send her $105.00 which will be enough

for her to go by road.

Use the service of Western Union and send it to Ms. Joan Lawrence, Cotonou, Benin Republic. Amount to send is $105 ONLY
Call me as soon as you send her the money and please NOTE that Porto Novo is about 9 hours by road so I should expect to have

the documents send to me the next day that she gets the fare amount from you.

I am finding it difficult to call you due to the fault that my handheld developed which caused screen malfunction and my

inability to access my address book. You should therefore as a matter of urgency reconfirm your current delivery address as

follows:

Full Name;
Address:
City/State/Zip Code:
Telephone #

Your urgent response is highly needed!
Regards and happy consignment box arrival
