"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I am Agent Dr.John Brown, Phone No. *010-056-9041*

 Attn; My Dear,

I am Diplomat Dr.John Brown the International diplomatic agent of Dhl delievery Courier Company Benin republic , it is my pleasure to let you know that I have arrived this morning with your consignment box of ($3. 800, 000, 00 usd) Three million eight hundred thousand United state Dollars.

I landed at Honolulu International Airport Hawaii (HNL), United state of America here, however, I was stopped here in this air port by the air port authority such as the custom and the police, they have asked that I should provide the bill of loading certificate of the consignment box which you did not provide it to my company whom sent me, now the air port authority has refused to release me with the box until the bill of loading is provided to them right here.

Now I want you to contact me here through my email and phone number so that we can sort this out without any further delaying, we have to do this before they will open the box because they are not aware that the content of the box is money.

I have called my director over there in Benin republic and told him about this holdup, I told him to make an enquiry to know what it will take to obtain the document and he later called me back stated that the document will cost the sum of $230.00 usd only as the air port authority asked that it will be obtained from the orign country of this box which is Benin republic, so bear with me that you have to send the fees to Benin republic but I want you to get in touch with me first and reconfirm your details to me before anythings will take place.

International Diplomatic Agent,

Dr.John Brown
