"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I have emailed you before but haven't received your response to my first letter.I am Barrister Kossigan Kodjo, from Republique of Togolaise.I solicit for your kind attention to assist me transfer the sum of (six million seven hundred thousand dollars) into your bank account.I decided to communicate with you in a good manner.I can not operate it alone without using a Foreigner who will stand as a partner to my late client and legitimate beneficiary to the fund due to my position in my country and i was mandated by the bank where my late client's deposited the fund to provide the next of kin to inherit the fund.I will advice you to keep this transaction secret to yourself alone. Send me your information so that i can forward it to the bank for proper follow up for the transfer of the unclaimed fund.
