"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

From Mr. Lukas Andiry,
My dear, how are you and your family? I surmise my letter meets you in your best mood today. My name is Lucas Andiry; Head of Prime line Nat West Bank Plc. I decided to seek a confidential co-operation with you in the execution of the deal described here-under for our both communal benefit and hope you will keep it a top secret because of the nature of the transaction, While auditing the bank accounts, I discovered  a dormant fund, sum total of GBP26.400,000 (Twenty Six million Four hundred thousand British Pounds sterling) in an account that belongs to one of our late foreign customer Gen. Franciszek Gagor (Head of the Army Chief of Staff Poland) who unluckily lost his life in a plane crash of Dagestan Airlines Tupolev Tu-154 which crashed on approach to Smolensk airport in western Russia, 10th April 2010 including Polish president Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria with other top government officials.
