"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Friend,

We seek an investor and a God-fearing partner who is willing to partner with us in relocating our family fortune.
We also state that due to the nature of the funds and the present condition of our family, this deal must be treated as private and confidential.

We have the sum of USD 136 million which we want to move out of Africa for profitable investment and relocation to your country. The funds are currently in liquid securities for safety until remittance to partner. We seek a very God-fearing/ potential partner/investor who will treat us with all honesty and who will not take advantage of our present family situation.

Please pardon us as we are aware that this is not the conventional way of relating/introducing such an important and sensitive message. We tried without success to locate either your contact address and we resorted in contacting you via email.

We shall furnish you with all the details of our family and the funds as soon as you indicate your willingness and seriousness to partner with our family in truth and love for the overall benefit of all.
