"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Are you there pls??

Dear Friend,

Greetings!!

I am MRS. SUZANNE HOSNI MUBARAK; wife of the ousted President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt. It is no news telling you about the recent Egypt Revolution which ousted my family from the Presidential Villa in Cairo.

I write to solicit your Assistance as a foreigner to use your name or your Company information to Re-Profile a deposit valued at US$21.2M to be transferred to your custody for investment and safekeeping pending the release of my family from the house arrest.

In view of our present condition here in Cairo and the high interest rate the finance security company charges, the deposit valued at US$21.2M could not be safe. Hence I need your honest assistance to move these deposit from the Finance Company to your bank account as the family business partner for investment. I assured you 100% risk free and I implore you to keep this transaction absolutely secret against negative exposure. If you are interested contact me immediately so that we can proceed with the business. But if not, delete this mail from your computer please.

Best regards,

Mrs. Suzzane Hosni Mubarak
