"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello friend,

Happy new year to you.

Its my utmost pleasure to contact you to stand in as a beneficiary in this highly confidential and classified
transaction involving an over-invoiced contract with NNPC to the tune of $148,000,000,00 (One hundred
and forty eight million united states dollars only) which is presently floating in NNPC account with Central
Bank of Nigeria (CBN). The original contractor has been paid up fully and left Nigeria, what is left now is
the over-invoiced amount which my colleagues and myself initiated during project revaluation caused by
inflation.

I am Dr. Samuel Onigbinde, deputy head, finance and planning with NNPC London office, if you are
interested in standing in as a beneficiary of this fund, you shall be entitled to 30% of total fund, while 65%
shall be for my colleagues and myself and 5% shall be set aside for expenses. This transaction is risk free
and shall be completed within two weeks as all machinery has been set in motion for its execution.
(It is important to note that you shall be required to be physically present at the office of presidency in
Abuja the federal capital to sign the fund release order, this is in line with the presidency's requirements on
contract payment to eliminate payment to ghost contractors)

If you are interested, you are advised to contact me for further details on +447011121901, but if you are not
interested do notify me via email aswell.

I shall look forward to your prompt reply, email and call.

Sincerely,
Dr. Samuel Onigbinde
