"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello dear,

I had written to you earlier without any response. In my last letter I made mention of my late client bearing the same surname with you whose relatives I can not reach. It is four years since his death and the Bank have written to me instructing me to present his next of kin as his Attorney on or before the end of the month or this fund valued at (U$11.2Million) in question will be turned to the state as resulting trust.

I have contacted you because of the similarity in your last name so i can present you to the Bank as the right next of kin to my late client. I shall await your response to this as urgency demands.

Give me your e-mail and phone number or you can Contact me directly on this email: arnidavo@rocketmail.com

My Regards,

Barrister Arni Davo Esq.
