"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: <Greetings from fr. Antonio>..

Hello,

I am Rev. Fr. Antonio Moretti, a native of Bergamo, Italy. I work with St. Anne Catholic Church Birmingham, England. I was bequeathed with fund from my family as inheritance. I want to invest this said fund in your country in real estate or any lucrative business you will suggest to me.

I want a God fearing partner in this transaction as my foreign partner that will assist me in doing this investment and I believe you are one, that is why I have contacted you. My proceeds from the investment will go to the orphans and less privileged while your percentage as agreed will go to you for your assistance.
If you would like to assist me as a partner, kindly indicate your interest by responding to this email so as to discuss all modalities.

All other information relating to the presence of the funds will be revealed to you as we progress.

I expect you to be trustworthy and kind enough to respond positively to my enquiry. Kindly get back to me as soon as possible so that I will mail you all the full details concerning the fund to be invested.

Thanks and Best Regards
Rev. fr.Antonio Moretti
