"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: ****SPAM*(22.5)**** BUSINESS PROPOSAL FROM UK

Dear friend, I saw your brief contact on web directory during a comprehensive online search. Please accept my sincere apology, for this unsolicited mail to you. With due respect, I am Dr. J. Morrison working in a pharmaceutical company based in London, United Kingdom. I contacted you regarding our company urgent need for Oji herbal seeds. After a comprehensive online search, I came to know that a particular material our company buy at rate of $290 US Dollars are availabe in your country at rate $180 US Dollars. They are locally preserved herbal seeds for medicinal purposes. Our company manufactures most of its major product with these herbal seeds. The former supplier (Mr.Kumar Shamar) died recently, after his sudden deaths the management of our company are very much in-need of another supplier of these herbal seeds. Meanwhile nobody in the company knows the source of these materials except the former supplier. Hence i have found the source,I kept this information to myself due to my personal interest in this business opportunity. I intend to establish a mutual business relationship with a company or an individual in India whom i can introduce to our director as a local seller. This person will take orders and supply these herbal seeds directly to our company at a high rate then we will share the profit. You and i can explore this business opportunity since our company management is not aware of the source and selling price in India. If you can invest in buying the herbal seed from the local seller and keep it in your possession. I will give you the contact detail of a local seller and also introduce you to my director as a supplier then our company can buy directly from you. This will be a long term business relationship that will not affect your present occupation. If you are interested please reply through my private email address ( dr.johnmorrison@hotmail.co.uk ) for more details. On receipt of your positive response, I will give you more information for procedure. Hope to read from you soon. Yours sincerely Dr. J. Morrison.
