"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I am one of those that got scammed by Nigerian Internet scammers.But was compensated by the United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) In conjunction with First Bank of Nigeria which is the ONLY Official authorized Bank in charge of payments of compensations to shortlisted beneficiaries by the United Nations payment regulatory Board Geneva,Switzerland.I had paid over $20,000 while in the UK, trying to get my payment all to no avail. So I decided to travel over to Nigeria with all my compensation documents, and I was directed to meet Mrs.Katherine Ozobia, who is the Auditor General of the COMPENSATION AWARD COMMITTEE of the UN, and I contacted her and she explained everything to me. she said whoever is contacting us through emails are fake. she took me to the paying bank for the claim of my Compensation payment.
