"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

A few months into my ascension of office it was brought to my attention that you were among certain victims of the Nigerian 419 scam who was pegged for compensation and restitution payment,but due to mrs waziri's fraudulent ways you were unable to get yourfunds,now in my bid to get this funds to you i have contacted you severally without any response,yesterday,a lady (Mrs. Cynthia Sterling.) came to my office informing me that you are dead,and that you named her as next of kin to this funds,she came along with a death certificate and a power of attorney,although with these documents i am supposed to release the funds which total upto 3.8 Million United states dollars,i am however sceptical with regards to the matter,seeing as she does not bear the surname as you and she is not an american,therefore i have decided to once again send this email in the hope that you are still alive and that i do not pay the money out to a theif.
