"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Partnership Request!

Good day,

I am Daniel Owen, a business consultant based in London.I was the former financial analyst to the Late Mr. David Clemetson, an American Investor who died with his entire family in the plane crash of Alaska Airlines Flight 261 which crashed on January 31 2000.

My client before his untimely death, had a deposit of Five Million, Five Hundred Thousand British Pound Sterling which I helped him to deposit in one of the leading banks here in London two years before he died. Being his former consultant, the bank would not let me inherit this wealth or present myself as the beneficiary to this huge amount of money. Hence I seek your consent to present you as the beneficiary to the fund, so that the proceeds could be paid to you in which 60% shall be mine and 40% yours. What i require is your honest cooperation and complete trust to enable us see this transaction through. Kindly let me know if you are interested in this partnership so i can provide you with further details.

Best regards,
Daniel Owen
