"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: SPEED LINK COURIER NOTIFICATION

Dear Customer,

This office has shown its commitment to customer satisfaction, the management took a bold
step to send a verifying email to you as regard to a parcel with Identification Number (DCS/0978),

which was brought to our office by Dr. Stephen Fitzpatrick, requesting that the parcel in question
should be delivered to you, but up till now he hasn't showed up with the stated information required
before we can commence delivery of the parcel.

He left our office without completing our proforma invoice, so he only fill little information which we
at Speed Link Courier felt wasn't enough for the Parcelto be dispatched. Kindly notify us of your interest
in the Parcel,so as to facilitate your parcel delivery.

NB: Dr. Stephen Fitzpatrick paid for the First Class Delivery of your Parcel.

Regards,

Andrew Hills

Dispatch Officer

For: Speed Link Courier.
