"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: A Cry For Help

Hello,

How are you over there in your country,i believe you are doing well and that the atmosphere over there in your country is very nice today? Mine is a little bit warm over here in Ouagadougou,Burkina Faso.

My name is Josephine Mounah,i am single and have never been married, i am from south kordofan in the Republic of Sudan,North Africa, i am 23 yrs old girl and 5in 8ft tall,58kg weight. Earlier i was residing in south kordofan refugee camp in Sudan on january 2012, at a time there was a division and dispatch of some of the refugees due to the over population of the refugee camp in south kordofan,i was taken to Burkina Faso in West Africa on 10th March 2012 where i'm presently residing in Ouagadougou refugee camp due to the war in my country,Sudan. I'm suffering in pains in this camp and i really need to have a friend by my side to encourage me.i am willing relocate from this country.

My late father Mr.Benard Mounah was the former Deputy chairman of Sudanese National Oil Corporation (NOC) in Khartoum the economy capital of my Country(Sudan) and he was also the Deputy minister of Petroleum and Mineral resources before the Government forces attack our house one early morning and killed my mother and father in cold blood. The Government forces attacked and kill my mother and father in cold blood because my father defected to the opposition.

I escaped death because i was in school when the government forces attacked our house. I was the only child of my late parents,i have no brother nor sister. This Refugee Camp is headed by a Reverend Father am using his office computer to send you this email and i only enter his office when he is less busy in his office.

When my father was alive he deposited some amount of money in one of the leading bank here in Africa which he used my name as the next of kin. The amount in question is US$6,700,000.00( Six Million Seven Hundred Thousand United States Dollars).

Actually,i'm in search of an honest and reliable person who will help me withdraw these money and invest it over to his Country.I have chosen to contact you after my prayers and i believe you will not try to cheat me but rather take me as your own people.Though you may wonder why i am so soon giving in to you without seeing you, well i will say that my instincts still tells me that you are a good person,I will like to disclose much to you if you will help me to relocate to your country with the substance that i inherited from my parent which i will like to invest in your country into any lucrative business venture which you are to advise and execute seeing that i have no business experience for now.

I shall forward to you the necessary deposit information and the Bank account information on confirming your acceptance to assist me for the transfer and investment of the funds, as you manage the money in any investment, and i will like to complete my studies which is the most important thing to me, as i was in my first year in the university, when the crisis started and It is my intention to compensate you with 20% of the total money for your assistance and the balance shall be my capital investment, this is the reason why i decided to contact you.

I look forward to receive your email and reply to my email address:jose3phine1@sify.com as the urgency implies.

Regards,
Josephine Mounah
