"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Hello My Dearest

Hello My Dearest,

Please I am writing this mail to you with tears and sorrow asking for your help. My Name is Miss. Alicia Lohan Kipkalya Kones, i am 25 Years Old and never married.  I got your contact while searching for a trustworthy someone who will understand my present condition and come to my rescue here in the Missionary Refuge Camp Burkina Faso. I have passed through pains and sorrowful moments since the death of my father.
My father was the Former Minister of road and Assistant Minister of Home Affairs. He died in a plane crash with Laboso boarded on Cessna 210 which headed to Kericho and crashed in a remote area Kajonga near Enoosupukia in East Kenya. The plane crashed was on the Tuesday 10th, June, 2008. You can read more about the crash through the website below. Site: http://edition.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/africa/06/10/kenya.crash/index.html.

Since the death of my father, my step mother and uncles have conspired in so many ways to eliminate me and possess my father's properties. They sold all my father's assets and left me with nothing. I had been running up and down afraid of their deadly plans till one faithful morning. I was fortunate to open my father's briefcase and behold some documents where he deposited ($5.8 Million United State Dollars) in one bank in Burkina Faso with my name as the next of kin.  I came to Burkina Faso with the documents hoping to withdraw the money so that i can have my way far and saved from my step mother. In the bank i met the Bank Director in person but after confirming my true status as the next of kin to the account, he told me that my father left an instruction on the money that it would only be release to me when I am either married or with a foreign trustee who will help me invest the money overseas. No other option for me, than to start looking for a
foreign trustee. I got stranded after some weeks and fortunately i later met one Rev. Father named Victor Aroma who brought me into the missionary refugee camp Burkina Faso where I am residing presently.

After my Prayers I chose to contact you with believe that you will not betray my trust. I put my hope and my trust in you. You may wonder why I so soon revealed myself to you without knowing much about you, but I have only to say that my mind convinced me that you will be the true, honest and reliable person to help me as my trustee so that the bank will be able to release the money since I am not yet married. I am ready to tell you other important issues about the money because I am with all the documents. My aim is after the release of the money, you will take 40% of the total money for your assistance, i will relocate to your country and you will help me secure a nice University there so that I will complete my studies. As soon as you answer me i will inform the bank Director for the release of the money.

I am communicating you through the office computer of Rev. Father Victor Aroma as he permitted me, his office phone number is +226 750 761 12. Please i want you to call me through the number. When you call please tell the Reverend that you want to speak with Miss Alicia Kipkalya, and he will send for me. Please i am hoping to read your message soon indicating your ability and Willingness to help.

I beg you not to disclose this till i come over because I am afraid of my wicked stepmother who is still searching everywhere to locate me. I thank God today for my escape and the opportunity to contact you. Please find a place in your heart to accept my solemn request.

Thanks and God bless.
Sincerely Yours,
Miss. Alicia Kipkalya Kones.
