"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: MADE UP MY MIND

MADE UP MY MIND TO TRANSACT WITH YOU.

It was only now that I made up my mind to contact you after many days for I am acting on the belief that I can trust you?

My name is Goumah Nagatu, I am 19 years old and the only son of late Edoo Richard Nagatu my father was a Gold dealer who died during the political turmoil in Cote D' Ivoire in February 2011.

I contacted you to assist me, because my late father deposited 8 kilos of Gold plus 5.5.millon dollars. He deposited it in a security company in Ghana. He declared it to them as a family treasure in a trunk box. According to my late father, the security company does not know the actual content of the box. If you agree on helping me, I will furnish you with the information of the security company in Ghana so that you can contact them.

Presently, I am in a refugee camp under the United Nations and they have given us signal to leave the camp as peace has returned in my country.
I escaped to Ghana when the war was intense after the death of my father from the bullet wound he sustained .As I said, I need a sincere and honest PERSON who will understand my situation and assist me to achieve my inheritance.

I have made up my mind to move out from the refuge camp to settle and invest in your country if you are willing to HELP me.

I contacted you because I want you to reach the SECURITY COMPANY here as my late fathers business partner and arrange with them for the release or shipment of the deposited consignment (Trunk BOX) on my behalf and also arrange for the sales of the gold.

You will also assist me to come over to your country as soon as the deposited consignment is released or shipped to you.

If you are willing to assist me, I have made up my mind to offer you 30% share out of the total money realised from the transaction (sales of the Gold and the fiscal cash) for your assistance.

Once again I thank you and I am waiting for your very urgent reply as a confirmation that you received my proposal and are willing to assist me.

As soon as I receive your reply, I will forward to you all the contacts information of the security company where my late father deposited the consignment (trunk Box).

Faithfully
Goumah Nagatu.
