"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Lagos Nigeria

Dear Sir/Ma,

This correspondence is purely private and it should be treated as such. I also guarantee you that this project is hitch free from all what you may think off. I am Mrs. Rosemary Paul an aging widow suffering from long time illness. My condition is critical, although as a Christian, I believe in God that I will not die, but will live to declare the glory of God upon me.

My husband was amongst the casualties of the terrorist attack that rocked London on the morning of Thursday, 7 July 2005. I have some funds that I inherited from my late husband, which I have given some to Churches and charity homes; left with me now is the sum of $7,500,000.00(Seven Million Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars Only).

I needed a very honest and God fearing Christian that will use the fund for spreading Evangelism and set up a Foundation in memory of my late Husband, I searched through the internet for this purpose and I found your email address and decided to contact you.

Please if you would be able to use the funds for the Lord's work, kindly respond back for further instructions.

Yours in the Lord,

Mrs. Rosemary Paul.
Lagos, Nigeria.
