"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I am James Davies, the managing director Grions Oil/Gas company here in UK;  I have this Oil supply i secretly  made in the name of my Company 3 months ago, at the tune of $27 Million Dollars;  I just received a payment memo that the money has been approved to be paid to me through there offshore paying Bank in Hong Kong; but because of my position in this company, i need you to stand and receive the money on my behalf as my beneficiary, thereafter i will join you for us to invest it in any profitable venture that will yield good incomes in your country ok. I don't want my company to know about the money, hence i need us to invest it in your name. Can you? write me back so that i can instructs the Paying office to release the money to you as my beneficiary ok. you don't have anything to worry about because its 100% legitimate.
