"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: HELLO DEAR

Dear Beloved,

I know this may sound strange to you, receiving a mail from an unknown person, but the circumstance in which i found myself forced me to do so.

First of all, I seek your indulgence to solicit for your assistance concerning the content of this message, although I am not comfortable discussing it through this manner due to lots of unsolicited spam mails on the internet nowadays, but I have no other medium to do so right now since the internet still remain the most convinient means of contact especially concerning a matter like this, which requires total confidentiality.

I thought to send you this proposal with the aim of seeking your help to transfer my inherited estate of Three Million Two hundred thousand united states dollars ($3.200.000) to your country for investments to enable me continue my studies and to reside there while you take care of the investments.

Your urgent response to my plight will give me more courage to live as I have lost my parents, and I have nobody in this world.

I hope to hear from you urgently.

Thank you.

yours sincerely,

Miss. Blandine Reyes.
