"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Request for investment assistance ...

Good Morning,

I AM Ali Khoury, Jr., from Syria. My late father Mr. Ali Khoury Senior, was a crude
Oil dealer until 2 months ago when he was assassinated while he was addressing
a peaceful protest rally.
You might have read from one of your local news about the conflict that has been
going on in our Country for the past 15 months which has claimed thousands of
lives.You can read more about the situation in our Country on the websites below;

Since the death of my father, my family has been living in fear and even abandon
our family house in the capital city of Damascus moving from one place to another
just to secure our lives.
Due to the present instability in our country now, investing abroad will be my family's
greatest happiness as it will enable me secure our future as a family because our
future is very blink here in Syria.

Therefore, the main reason I contacted you is to seek for your assistance, advice
and cooperation to invest for my family the only treasury of my late father that he
was able to move outside our Country at the early stage of the conflict.

Please can you assist my family in our quest for a better future by rendering every
necessary assistance to invest this said fund for us in your line of business or in
any other profitable venture that will be under your care under a mutual beneficial
agreement between us. The amount is quite substantial and our future as a family
solely depends on it.

I look forward to receiving from you soon if you are willing to assist.

Sincerely,
Ali Khoury, Jr.
