"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Peace keeping force in Tripoli, Libya. I’m 44yrs single father with a
13yrs old daughter, and I’m contacting you on behalf of my colleague here
in Tripoli, we are honestly seeking for your hands in this partnership to
move this allocation valued at{$55 million USD} into your custody for
safekeeping. This money was secretly secured in the war zone, if you check
the news you will identify that this particular fund was not declared
among the monies we found at the war zone.

We are contacting you as an external body because of our status as
American soldiers on war duty. Our activities are highly limited based on
the U.S military code of conduct. If you are seriously interested in this
proposal, we have agreed to compensate you with 20% of the total of $55
