"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: NOV 28-29: Effective Target Setting & Performance Management!

Dear Sir/Madam,

You are invited to our moderately priced training on:

‘EFFECTIVE TARGET SETTING AND PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT’

This program will hold from 28-29 November, 2012 in Lagos.

Maintaining a high level of productivity in 21st century organizations entails continuous improvement and learning multiplicities of skills and techniques. People in all types of organizations find themselves needing to find more productive methods of planning work and tasks, setting appropriate goals, using good interpersonal skills and using effective means of making decisions. A focus on using productive practices allows for effective and efficient management of work and making changes in the organization.

Effective Goal-Setting & Planning Skills teaches you how to create goals that challenge you – and how to break those goals up into manageable steps. How to realistically estimate time frames. How to make accountability work to your advantage by creating commitment and buy-in. And also how to minimize distractions, balance competing obligations, and make sure you stay on track! However, effective performance management is actually fundamental to achieving a successful future. Performance management is not a fixed sequence of events, but a continuous process that constantly adapts to the needs of the team.
