"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: HELLO DEAR

Hello Dear,

First of all, I seek your indulgence to solicit for your assistance concerning the content of this message, although I am not comfortable discussing it through this manner due to lots of unsolicited spam mails on the internet nowadays, but I have no other medium to do so right now since the internet still remain the most convinient means of contact especially concerning a matter like this, which requires total confidentiality.

My name is Miss. Blandine Reyes, 22 years old and the only daughter of my late parents Mr.and Mrs. Sibeye Reyes. My father was a highly Reputable Cocoa and timber exporter and contractor who operated in the capital of Coted'Ivoire during his days. It is sad that he passed away mysteriously in France during one of his business trips abroad on 6th November 2007. Though his sudden death was linked or rather suspected to have been masterminded by an uncle of his who travelled with him at that time, but God knows the truth. Though I have not meet with you before but I believe, one has to risk confiding in other to succeed sometimes in life. There is this huge amount of (three million Five hundred thousand U.S dollars) ($3.2 million USD) which my late Father Kept under a suspense account with a bank located here in Abidjan, the capital city of Coted'Ivoire in West Africa.

Now i realized why my father when he was alive asked me never to reveal the documents containing reference of the deposit to any of our relation, instead, I should seek for a foreign partner abroad who will help me to transfer this fund overseas and also travel with the person in other to continue my Education and also to start a Business relationship with the person who can take care of me in the future. I am just 22 years old and a university undergraduate and really don't know what to do. This is because I have suffered a lot of set backs as a result of incessant political crisis here in Coted'Ivoire for past years. The death of my father actually brought sorrow to my life, my dear, I am in a sincere desire of your humble assistance in this regards and your suggestions and ideas will be highly regarded.

Now permit me to ask these few questions:

1. Can I completely trust you?

2. Can you accept me as your own Sister (Or Daughter)?

3. What percentage of the total amount in question will be good for you?

Consider this and get back to me as soon as possible with your full assurance that you will not disappoint me in this issue so that I can give you the contact of the Bank where my late Father deposited the Fund for you to contact them on how to transfer the Money into your Account.

all i have explained to you is all the truth about Me. I am real and i really need your assistance for my life, and i promise that you will never regret to assisting me in life. Thank you so much for your understanding and May almighty God bless you and your Family

sincere regards,

Miss. Blandine Reyes.
