"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I am Madam Hanan Abdul-Halim Ali from Shu'aiba Basrah city, Iraq.
My husband was an engineering contractor with Basrah oil refinery
company ltd. He was killed by bomb blast attack on his way to work.
Before my husband's death, he received the sum of 7.4 million us
dollars from the Iraqi oil ministry for contracts with basrah oil
refinery company ltd, for supplies of equipments and materials for
reconstruction of north and south ruwaila pipelines destroyed during
the war.

I have contacted you because i need to use your company to invest the
fund as partner with you as my investment manager. This money is
safely kept with a security/diplomatic company. I have all the
documents of the deposit and i will send it to you on your approval to
receive the fund on my behalf.

I need a good businessman to help me in investment business in
your country.
