"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: CONTACT THE DIPLOMATIC AGENT FOR YOUR CONSIGNMENT

INSTRUCTIONS TO DELIVER YOUR CONSIGNMENT.

I
was really surprised and hardly believe you have not received your payment through the earlier directions. Even though I could not find a
good reason for the delayed yet. Whatever happens, I
sincerely apologies for this
delay and unhappiness you might have suffered so far. I would like to
inform you that we have packaged your sum of Four Million Five Hundred
Thousand United State Dollars in a consignment box and registered it for
delivery to you through Diplomatic Courier Service.

Actually, I
make use of my position to programme the money through this method to
avert anymore delay. I received a message a moment ago that
the Diplomatic Agent conveying the consignment box valued the sum of
(US$4,500,000.00 Million) is currently stranded at airport with your
consignment box over misplacement. He therefore requires your following
information below, so he can deliver the Consignment Box to you in your country today.

YOUR FULL NAME:

CORRECT ADDRESS WHERE HE WILL MEET WITH YOU.

PRIVATE TELEPHONE NUMBER SUCH AS (MOBILE) FOR EASY COMMUNICATION:

AND NAME OF YOUR NEAREST AIRPORT.

You have to contact the diplomatic agent via his contact email below with the
information required.

Contact person:  Diplomat John Harrison

His contact Email address:   diplomatjohnhart@admin.in.th

I
am out of the country on a four years special assignment in Japan and very busy these days. For
this regard, I let the agent know that I will advise you to make direct
contact with him, so he is waiting to hear from you with the information
right now. You will receive the consignment box once the agent confirmed the above listed information from you through my directions.

NOTE: The
Diplomatic agent does not know that the content of the consignment box
is $4.5Million United States Dollars and on no circumstances should you
let him know the content. The consignments were deposited as a
family treasure, so never allow him to open the box. And make sure you contact the agent without delay as you receive this message to avoid diverting or lose the consignment due to unreachable recipient.

Regards,
Maureen D. Cheney
