"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: WE SALE GOLD

January 2013.

Dear Associate,

I have an associate who deals in gold dust here in London, he is very
reliable and trust worthy. Most gold dealers from Africa including the
Military, the private, the rebels all supply him with gold to sell on
their behalf. He has been doing this business for many years now and a lot
of people have testified to his genuity and sincerity.

His procedure is test, cash and carry. A buyer who is interested to buy
this gold dust usually come for a table top meeting with his tester, the
buyer tests the gold dust, if the gold dust is good, he pays and takes it
away.

He does not deal with any refinery because most of the gold dust does not
have proper paper work. He believes in test, cash and carry and that is
why his price is very reasonable.

Right now, this fellow has moved to Romania, where he has 200kg of gold
dust at present. He sells it for 23,500 Euro per kilo. If you are a buyer
or have contact with a buyer, let me know so that we can have a time for
the buyer to visit the seller in Romania.

COMMISSION: if you are not a buyer, the price for the gold dust will be
25,000 Euro per kilo. This means that the buyer will pay 25,000 Euro per
kilo and the seller will pay to you 1,500 Euro per kilo as your
commission. But if you are a buyer, you will only pay 23,500 Euro per
kilo.

Please get back to me as soon as possible if you are interested in this
offer.

Best regards;

Clay Dowdon
