My name ia Laila Chimukoko, I am from Zimbabwe. My mother is Chief Chimukoko the ruling chief of Mudzi district. She became chief at the age of 13 and is the first woman chief of our country. She has always been a cool, kind and fair chief, but also one that opposed corruption and unfairness by the governement. She has a big influence on the people of Zimbabwe and is well respected within the MDC community, that is the opposition party.
As the whole world knows, Zimbabwe is in distruction and famine becuase of our President Mr Mugabe. He is the ruler of the ZANU-PF regime and it really is an evil one. Weeks before the June 2008 elections, the ZANU party hired militia to hunt down and kill supporters and members of the MDC party. They were successful and killed my dear friend policeman Mteta Kingswell, after he went to visit his mother in hospital. Days later my mother was also beaten almost to death, but by the Grace of God survived and has since been under 24 hours surviellance and house arrest. She has no way out at this moment. President Mugabe has seized all of our assests and properties her in Zimbabwe. He wont allow us to sell and move. We are stuck and noone in the international community can help us, because we are so well known and do not need the media attention as it will lead to great punishment and death for all those in my Mother's kingdom.
This is why an unknown person is really the only one who can help us. My mother is of course very intelligent and knew the situation in her country was becoming bad. So, she closed a lot of her bank accounts here and stored the cash in a safe house in South Africa worth €1.9 million. She also has an account in the United Bank of Switzerland, with around $USD 2.4 million. My mother is old and gravely ill now. She has finally told me about all of this as she is worried she will pass away without me knowing. This money is for me and my brothers and sisters, so that we can leave Zimbabwe and start a new life somewhere. We are always watched and monitored and life is terrible. Even writing you this email is being done in a secret basement in my brother's house. I can trust you with this information because nobody knows you and if you were to talk, it would seem impossible for me to be able to communicate with you, and therefore wouldn't be credible. Simply I need you to do what I ask you to do as I am not able to leave this place or even talk to our bank assest managers and lawyers abroad.
