"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Compliments of the Day, this is to inform you that yesterday, the majority members of the Federal House of Senate, on behalf of the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria unanimously approved in
your favour the sum of US$8.5Million representing part-payment.
This is to bring to  your notice that your Bank Draft will be issued and ready for immediate dispatch to your address as soon as your respond to this message.However, I want you reconfirm your address,telephone and full name to avoid mistake.
 
President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan instructed us to pay you without any charges except courier and insurance charges that you will pay for the delivery of the original copy of your bank draft.
 
I have communicated with the local courier company here and they have agreed to deliver your bank draft within 3 days at your address.
 
I advice you to get back to me as soon as possible to enable me furnish you with the copy of bank draft via email attachment and the official receiver name to enable you send the deliver/insurance charges immediate for onward delivery of your bank draft at your  address.
