"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

DEAR SIR,
The United Nations Compensation Commission (UNCC) was created in 1991
as a subsidiary organ of the UN Security Council. Its mandate is to
process claims and pay compensation for losses and damages suffered as a
direct result of unlawful invasion and natural disasters.

Important Notice

The United Nations Compensation Commission concluded the 2012
claims-processing exercise in 28.12.2012, and payments to individuals
commenced in 10.01.2013. It is not possible anymore, no matter what the
circumstances, to accept new claims or make corrections or changes to
previous claims. All payments have already been authorized for final
effectual through respective Governments and UNCC. We received a message
and phone calls from your partner ' Mr Steve Norman' stating that you
are suffering intensive Brain Tumor, of which he is handling all your
transactions; he instructed that we should direct all communication
regarding your US$10.5M payment to him as your business manager.

We need you to confirm positively that you have given Mr Steve Norman
the statutory right to handle your transactions and also receive your
US$10.5M UNCC payment on your behalf, the said payment will be wired
into Steve Norman's account as soon as you confirm his request genuine.
Also, we extend greetings to you and sorry for the pains you are going
through as a result of your brain cancer and wish you quick recovery.

For; United Nations Compensation Commission (UNCC)
