"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Re: NOTICE OF BEQUEATH

I once again try to notify you as my earlier letter to you returned undelivered, I hereby attempt to reach you again by this same email address hoping this time we will get a response.

We wish to notify you of the pending liquidation of the account of Late Mr Edmund Miller who died with his wife Mrs. Hannah Miller on board the EgyptAir Flight 990, which crashed into the Atlantic Ocean on October 31. This beneficiary account amounting to £18.7 Million British Pounds Sterling was bequeathed to you as his sole beneficiary; Been his legal Representative and administrator of his estate, we have earlier received from his bankers a notice last month to contact you and inform you of the policy of the Bank that all inactive and unclaimed account is to be liquidated and transferred to the Government Treasury and that you are to file an immediate claim on your bequeathed funds.

Late Mr Edmund Miller may have his reason for this but I assume being a widely traveled man, he must have been in contact with you in the past or simply you are related to him or have some form of relationship with him, this is not ours to determine rather to contact you and inform you of this funds bequeathed to you and also notify you of the Government policy before the funds gets confiscated by the British government.

Mr Edmund Miller until his death was a member of the Helicopter Society and the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers. He had a very good heart, he was a philanthropist whose great philanthropy earned him numerous awards during his life time i.e. UN, WHO, & UNESCO and a very good and valuable customer of this bank as such they will not want his funds confiscated when it could be claimed by you to whom he bequeathed the funds

Late Mr Edmund Miller died on October 31, 1999. At the age of 62years, and his estate was long executed and we at Tanfield & Associates and On behalf of the Trustees and Executor of the estate of Late Mr Edmund Miller have tried to contact you several times but all our earlier letter to you returned undelivered, Thus we have decided to contact you once again to inform you of this funds bequeathed to you and also notify you of the Government policy to liquidate and transfer the said account and all inactive account to the HM Treasury Department as unclaimed funds if such accounts and funds remain unclaimed over a period of time. According to him this money is to support your humanitarian activities and to help the poor and the needy in your society.

Please if I reach you this time as I am hoping, endeavour to get back to me as soon as possible so that we can furnish you with information and details of the claim to enable you file your application and claim the funds to prevent it from been confiscated by the British Government alternatively you can send us a letter of disclaimer of the bequeathed funds if you do not want to proceed with the claim of the said funds as bequeathed to you so that we can authorized immediately liquidation of the account and transfer of the funds to the HM Treasury account as unclaimed funds and in accordance to English Laws.

Awaiting your urgent response

Yours Faithfully,
