"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Re: Greetings

Greetings,

I have two little kids brought to my missionary residents by a college from Guinea Bissau to keep them here for security reason as

there life is in danger, there father late President Joao Bernardo Vieira of Guinea Bissau, was brutally murdered by some group of

military junta on the 2nd march 2009 in his own residents, these kids have some fortunes that there late father kept for them.

I wish to put the fortunes under your control. The fortunes are in Malaysia right now and I want you to take position of them, I

will forward you the bank contact information and also the online banking credentials, for you to open communication with the

bank, the total worth of the fortunes is USD $17million, this is not a small fortunes.

I strongly believe you will benefit from it my good friend, I will only need your trust and honesty. The associates to the late

President requested that any beneficiary willing to help these kids should be giving 10% of the total fortunes as his or her

share.

The pleasure will be mine if you agree to my request of taking full responsibility of the fortunes for this kids as your in asia.

You will also invest the fortunes and manage them for the kids so there a lot for you to benefit from this.

Please do revert with your telephone details to enable me give you a call as well, I will be waiting to hear from you, please

advice...

Respectfully yours,

Evang. Patrick Wood
